EMAIL: Send Email to Amy Gelatt
Amy discovered an interest in the field of public health when she recognized that applications of public health are unending. Specifically, an awareness of the need for sustainable infrastructure centered around mobility and accessibility inspired her to pursue this degree. An understanding of the influence the built environment has on health directed her studies in public health. She would like to conduct research related to environmental health and disparities associated with environmental hazards. The Center for Health Equity Research provides the opportunity to become acquainted with research reporting and publication. Future plans include working with marginalized populations; conducting research and advocating for health conscious community configuration. Attending graduate school is a consideration for Amy, although for the time being she is excited to begin work in the field.
