CHER’s inaugural Visiting Scholar, Dr. Rhonda Johnson (Professor of Public Health, University of Alaska Anchorage) will give a presentation Wednesday, January 18. She will be highlighting several past and ongoing health and well-being initiatives viewed through a social determinants lens and health equity framework. She spent the initial months of her sabbatical year visiting sites in the Arctic, including Finland, Greenland, and other chilly places. She will give some examples of participatory and integrative approaches to health promotion, and pose some questions we should consider together. Presentation is free, and open to the public. Come join us in Room 402, SAS Building (building #60) on the Northern Arizona University campus on Wednesday, January 18, from 10:30 – noon. Hot drinks and light refreshments will be served!
